to another structure, designed for wintering tropical and subtropical
plants (such as palm, orange, and lemon trees) in
harsh climates.
Often architecturally elaborate, orangeries usually have tall
windows on their south sides.
Orangeries are frequently used to host events, especially in
inclement weather.
