The term fashion’s Big Four, also known as simply the Big Four, are the world’s major fashion capitals: New York, Paris, London, and Milan.
Several other cities have a significant impact on global fashion, including Rome, Berlin, Los Angeles, Tokyo, Barcelona, and São Paulo, but these cities—at least at present—lack the fame and prestige of the Big Four.
World fashion capitals are not static. Berlin was considered a major fashion center in the 1920s, and Milan was not recognized for fashion until the 1970s.
